About this product
Texture binder is a mono-component, water-based binder for textured finishes by trowel. It securely bonds real metal powders to prepared surfaces. Metal powder is sold separately.

- Bonds real Liquid Metal FX metal powders to wood and MDF, plaster and walls, resin and fibreglass, metal, concrete and glass. The surface must be clean, free of dust and oil, then primed.
- Sculpted, dimensional finishes by trowel.
- Furniture, wall panels, sculptures, interior features and bespoke design projects, indoors and outdoors.
- Water-based. Works with every Liquid Metal FX metal powder.

Apply
Prime the surface with a primer that suits it, then trowel the mix on. Make a sample in your technique first.
Finish
Sand and polish to a shine, or apply a patina for aged, oxidised effects. Then seal with a clear sealer.

Is metal included?
No. Choose any Liquid Metal FX metal powder, or buy a kit with metal and binder together.
Fine or Texture binder?
Fine binder is smooth and paint-like, for brushed, rolled or sprayed finishes. Texture binder is thicker and trowel-friendly, for sculpted or dimensional effects.
How much metal to binder?
We recommend 3 parts metal to 1 part binder. It’s versatile, so adjust the mix to get the consistency you want.
Is it water-based?
Yes. Liquid Metal FX binders are water-based, low VOC, with low fire risk.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes, indoors and outdoors. Seal it with a clear sealer to stop it patinating (oxidising) and to protect it from wear. To age it, apply a patina, or leave it unsealed to oxidise naturally.
